For a birthday party or family cookout, check for availability and reservation.  If you decide to pull yourself away from the comfort of the cabin and resort, there is a wide variety of activities only a short distance away.  Without a lot of hustle and bustle you can go fishing, horseback riding, listen to live music, check out our local churches for worship, enjoy bike trails and rental, hiking, floating the Little River, visit Tuchaleechee Caverns, the Heritage Center, zip lines, golf, arts, crafts, local museums and dining at one of the local restaurants within the Townsend area. You can drive the Foothills Parkway or into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and on to the renowned Cades Cove, or visit Tremont for a hike and waterfall along the way!  And of course, you can drive on over to the busy side of the Smokies at Pigeon Forge, Sevierville & Gatlinburg too (only about 15-20 miles away) then return and unwind.
